Artwork > PAINTINGS

Stripe Colony represents a community of ideas about hybridity in culture and abstraction in painiitng; and posits how the two might collide. These small paintings hover against the wall as wonky signifiers of confusion. Are they flags that herald a 21st century challenge to the language of representation? Or a settlement of dreamy miscegenaters who defy history in a nuanced chorus of amiability?
